Dublin Airport passenger numbers up 10 per cent on last year

2.2 million travellers passed through terminal in April

Passenger volumes to and from the continent increased by nine per cent with over 1.1 million passengers from Europe.

Traffic from Britain increased by 11 per cent to almost 812,000.

Transatlantic passenger volumes grew by 19 per cent with almost 196,000 passengers. There was a slight decline in other international traffic, predominantly to the Middle East, which fell by six per cent to 58,000.
