Dromoland Castle’s €15m tech revamp; Touchscreen trial to cost €5,000 per room

Luxury Co Clare resort currently trialling touchscreens in four of its rooms

The ancestral home of the Kings of Thomond is going hi-tech, as part of Dromoland Castle’s €15 million revamp.

The luxury resort, located in Co Clare, is currently trialling touchscreens in four of its rooms to allow guests to adjust lights and temperature, budgeting €5,000 per room for the new technology.

The upgrade is part of a three-year restoration plan which includes conserving the castle’s windows and decor.
