Talks could become "quite vicious", he said, if the EU didn't take the "long view" – instead obsessing of the small details of Britain's departure.

Kenny said that neither Ireland nor Britain “desires to limit the freedom of people on both sides of the Irish sea to trade, live, work and travel freely across these islands. Therefore we have agreed that the benefits of the Common Travel Area be preserved.”
