Disciplinary process at INM after McCollum coverage

Independent News & Media has begun a disciplinary process involving a journalist, following a report that cash was offered by the Irish Independent to Peru ‘drug mule’ Michaella McCollum in return for an interview.

The issue is whether INM authorised a claimed offer of cash to her solicitor in exchange for an interview.
