Dalata to build new four-star hotel on Dublin 2 site

The hotel group has acquired a site with permission for a 181-bedroom hotel

Dalata Hotel Group said it plans to build a new four-star hotel in Dublin 2 after acquiring DS Charlemont, the owner of the former Charlemont Clinic site, for €11.9 million in cash.

Last month, Dublin City Council granted permission, subject to conditions, for a four-star 181-bedroom hotel with restaurant, cafe/bar and business facilities on the site, which fronts on to Charlemont Street and Charlemont Mall on the Grand Canal.
