Key points from hearing as Dalton warns of potential further volatility in GDP figures

CSO large cases unit deals with 75 big companies to compile GDP figures

1 Dalton defended the CSO’s methodology, saying that its figures accurately reflected the highly globalised and complex nature of the Irish economy and were complied based on ‘hard facts’. He said the accuracy of the data had not ben questioned, and that independence, objectivity and integrity are the strengths of the CSO.
