Console founder Paul Kelly misused the name of Holy Cross priest Fr Aidan Troy to help obtain a €100,000 National Lottery grant.
Troy made worldwide headlines for escorting a group of Catholic children to school through vicious loyalist protests in the Ardoyne area of Belfast for three months in 2001.
But he was named in a Console application for a National Lottery grant as part of the charity’s “board of management and patrons” in 2005....
