Committees seek answers on school bus scheme ‘profit’ claims

Fresh allegations emerge from rival firm that Bus Éireann profited from the service, despite previous assurance to courts that it has not

Three separate Oireachtas committees are looking into allegations that Bus Éireann has profited from operating the school bus scheme despite previous assurance to the courts and the politicians that it did not.

The Transport committee, Public Accounts Committee and Education committee have all agreed to seek further information following a complaint from a rival company, School Transport Scheme Ltd (STS Ltd), which previously brought an unsuccessful court challenge in an effort to be allowed...
