Chief executive David McRedmond to leave TV3

Departure follows station's sale to Virgin Media Ireland

Before he joined TV3, McRedmond was the group commercial director at Eircom (now Eir)

David McRedmond, chief executive at TV3, has today told staff that he is leaving the commercial broadcaster.

As first reported on businesspost.ie on November 27, McRedmond is to leave TV3 by the end of the year.

The development follows the sale of the commercial TV station by Doughty Hanson to UPC Ireland, now Virgin Media Ireland, which is under the Liberty Global umbrella.
