Central Bank's latest risk assessment

The Data Protection Commission (DPC) has begun a formal investigation into potential data breaches at Independent News & Media, ramping up pressure on the troubled newspaper publisher with the Central Bank also monitoring recent developments.

The Central Bank has oversight of trading in stock market-listed companies and, under the EU’s Markets Abuse Directive, has significant powers of inquiry.
