Carlyle Cardinal invests upwards of €15 million to expand City Bin

Carlyle Cardinal Ireland, the private equity fund behind investments in companies including Lily O’Brien’s and Payzone, is backing the City Bin Co, with the aim of doubling its size in coming years.

It has not disclosed the level of investment, which will be used to grow the business through acquisitions and organic expansion over the next five years, but industry sources believe it is north of €15 million.
