Move being resisted by Minister for Transport Shane Ross and department officials

Bus Éireann management is this weekend advancing plans for an examinership process. It follows a dramatic escalation of the strike on Friday morning when wildcat action on bus and rail depots brought the capital to a standstill.

However, the move is being resisted by Minister for Transport Shane Ross and department officials who do not believe it is a practical response to the crisis.
