Burton on Nama bonuses: ‘get real’

Tánaiste Joan Burton has warned Nama that developers should not be given bonuses.

It came after Nama chief executive Brendan McDonagh suggested Nama might pay bonuses to developers who achieved challenging targets.

Burton said that the only bonus she wanted to see paid was the Christmas bonus to pensioners. “The priority is the people like our pensioners. I’d say to Nama on this – get real,” she said.
