Fine Gael backbenchers open PR battle early with indications of family-friendly measures

The PR battle around tomorrow’s budget has already begun, with Fine Gael backbenchers hinting that there will be good news for families.

With this in mind, party chairman Martin Heydon, along with fellow Fine Gael TDs Colm Brophy, Kate O’Connell, Marcella Corcoran Kennedy and Peter Burke, appeared on the Leinster House plinth today in an attempt to sell tomorrow’s budget as “making life easier for families” and “protecting our environment”....
