A British medical investment fund has snapped up the Ayrfield Medical Park in Kilkenny, in a deal worth almost €8 million.

The takeover of Ayrfield is the fifth acquisition by London Stock Exchange-listed company MedicX since it entered the Irish market a couple of years ago.

The €7.8 million takeover will see it buy the primary care centre and lease it back to the doctors who built it in 2011.
