Blanchardstown centre gets green light for large new supermarket

The owners of the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre have secured the all-clear to develop a new large supermarket that would address its “deficiency” of convenience stores.

The US-based Blackstone Real Estate has plans to make significant changes to the venue’s ‘red mall’ entrance. The project includes the demolition of some structures to make way for a new 2,000 square metre retail unit which would likely house a new supermarket. A small café would also...
