BAI approves Communicorp newsroom restructuring

The authority approved a proposal from the Communicorp Group, which owns Newstalk, Today FM, 98FM and Spin

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) has said that the restructuring of Communicorp’s newsrooms will not affect the firm’s contractual commitments.

The authority, which is responsible for the licensing of community and commercial radio and television services, approved a proposal from the Communicorp Group, which owns Newstalk, Today FM, 98FM and Spin, to allow the media organisation to restructure its newsrooms.
