Arklow wind project to deliver same energy with fewer turbines

SSE hs three offshore wind projects in development for Ireland, each with a potential energy generating capacity of about 800MW

The large offshore wind project planned for off the coast of Arklow will deliver the same energy with substantially fewer turbines than granted in planning permission, according to Barry Kilcline, head of Offshore Generation and Development with SSE plc.
