Fine Gaels support level of 26 per cent in the general election would increase by one point

Another general election would result in no major gains for Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil, according to the latest Sunday Business Post/Red C opinion poll.

Many Fianna Fáil supporters had been hopeful that another general election would see the party overtake Fine Gael, which currently has 50 seats compared to 44 for Fianna Fáil.
