Aer Lingus to outsource handling functions

Aer Lingus plans to outsource key ground handling functions at Dublin Airport and may launch a new voluntary redundancy programme for staff early in the new year.

Unions at the airline have not yet agreed to the outsourcing plans, but if implemented they would affect at least 100 staff.
