Child rape survivor Fiona Doyle is suing the gardaí and the state for allegedly failing to investigate reports of abuse she made against her father in the early 1990s.

Her case caused a storm in 2013 when her father Patrick O'Brien was handed down a lenient three-year jail sentence for what was described by the judge as one of the worst cases of abuse one could find.
