€1m Keane lawsuit driven by mobile billboard ‘mockery’

Roy Keane claims he was driven into taking a seven-figure lawsuit against Paddy Power after his image was used on a billboard advertisement depicting him as Braveheart.

In legal papers, the Republic of Ireland assistant manager complains the bookmaker refused to agree a financial settlement and resolve the issue in a “reasonable manner” with his lawyers A&L Goodbody.

Paddy Power, defended by McCann FitzGerald, would not comment on whether any further...
