On a wet Friday afternoon in Liverpool, the Magical Beatles Museum is doing a roaring trade. Visitors are poring over three floors of Fab Four memorabilia such as original instruments, stage costumes and medals worn by John Lennon on the cover of Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. They would presumably be even more impressed to learn that a real, live ex-Beatle is just a few feet away behind an office door.
