Wexford Festival Opera traditionally celebrates its great festival in October and after the dust has settled it announces its programme for the following year. That was the normal procedure in ordinary times but even Wexford has to change tack to keep the show on the road, and it has come up with a novel plan: to mark its 70th anniversary its new administration has decided to spread the festival across a whole year.
