Mini has announced it will be the first of the BMW Group marques to go all-electric. To that end, it will not develop any new internal combustion engines beyond 2025.

Given that, there’s little point providing drivers with an all-new model when there are only four years to go until this self-imposed cut-off point. To bridge the gap, the company has given its third-generation cars a second bout of plastic surgery.
