The queues were orderly last Wednesday morning, with good cause. The students didn’t need to be told to be careful: most of those in the line at the entrance to the RDS were carrying posters and other elements of their projects as they got ready to wow the judges at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.

A total of 1,131 students with 550 projects made the final cut for last week’s event....
