Way back in 2007, I realised my dream of learning to fly at a pilot training centre in Florida, and it was everything I’d hoped it would be and more.

I’ve never taken flying for granted. My jaw still drops as an Airbus A380 powers down a runway and somehow manages to lug up to 800 people and its own massive, double-decker, 70-odd metre body gracefully into the clouds.
