Smaller cities ‘must think harder on start-ups’

Cities without large populations need to take a more strategic approach to their start-up scenes, according to Paul Daugherty, global chief technical officer of Accenture.

“This event will be a catalyst. It’s a great event for Lisbon and Portugal. It brings the world tech scene to the local environment. It gives the vibrant local start-up scene that connection to large companies like ours who haven’t focused on Lisbon,” he said....
