Robot prescription technology offers workaround for GP handwriting errors
Script will move digitally to pharmacy to speed up dispensing time
Clanwilliam Group, the healthcare, technology and services company, has developed technology for electronic drug prescription notification.
The eScript pilot, launched nationally today, safely sends a secure notification of prescription details from the GP’s computer to the patient’s chosen pharmacy.
While it does not replace the traditional signed paper prescription, it means that the pharmacy can start preparing the prescription before the patient gets there.
