Galway hosts IBM hackathon

Ireland’s first IBM Watson internet of things (IoT) hackathon in conjunction with Cisco, ITAG Skillnet and supported by VT Networks and Nexiona, took place at the PorterShed in Galway city last month as part of the AtlanTec festival.

Over 48 hours, 60 international participants designed and prototyped an IoT solution to a business or social challenge. Industry experts gave hands-on guidance to the teams, through every step of the process.
