Dearth of data protection knowledge among CFOs

Nearly 70% are unaware of key data protection regulations

A new study by BT Ireland has found that 69 per cent of chief financial officers (CFOs) in Ireland are completely unaware of key data protection regulations that could massively impact their organisations.

Despite the relative dearth on knowledge on this front, the study found that 45 per cent of CFOs say they now have more direct responsibility for data protection than they did three years ago, while half of CFOs report that managing regulatory compliance...
