Cloud Computing: Irish hosting company takes on western Europe
Viatel has been on the go for over two decades and now it is setting its sights far and wide
Founded in 1991 and now with an advanced network reaching major business districts around Europe, Viatel was acquired by the Digiweb Group a couple of years ago. It offers managed services as well as the fibre telecommunications.
“Our strength is in our infrastructure assets. We have data centres and lots of fibre throughout western Europe so we have the capabilities to host cloud services,” said Sean Convery, Viatel’s chief information officer.
