Mobile apps are nothing new to consumers. With ComReg reporting that smartphone penetration reached 59 per cent of the Irish mobile subscriber market by the end of the second quarter last year, and Apple reporting over a billion app downloads a month, consumer apps are just a standard part of smartphone usage at this point.
