A UTV Ireland journalist has left the channel, following an incident on a flight to the US earlier this year which was carrying members of the families of the Berkeley balcony collapse.
The reporter joined a group of family members, unbeknownst to them, as they were being rushed through Boston Airport in the hours immediately after the tragedy in June. The station’s reporter had no connections to any family member.
