Shocking as it is, it’s not news to people that about 50 people become homeless every week in Ireland. We are in the middle of a huge housing crisis. It’s difficult to buy, it’s a nightmare to rent, rent supplements are not working for those on low income.

This has to be a top priority with the new government. We need social housing, we need regeneration of our rural towns,...
