New children's hospital finally gets go-ahead

An Bord Pleanala grants planning permission for shared campus with St James' Hospital.

The new facility will be a shared campus shared with St James' Hospital in Dublin 8.

The decision has been broadly welcomed and diggers will move onsite by the summer.

The new facility will merge the three hospitals at Tallaght, Crumlin and Temple Street and is due to open by 2020.
