Property developers Johnny Ronan and Richard Barrett may have been a little surprised when they opened their newspapers last Wednesday morning. On the day they were unveiling plans for a big hotel development on the AIB site at the corner of Westmoreland Street and College Green in Dublin, they were confronted by an artist’s impression of a light rail station right outside what they propose as the hotel’s front door.
