AIB opposes application for insolvency in Bahamas

Businessman Tony O'Reilly has been declared bankrupt by a Bahamas court.

It came after O'Reilly filed a notice motion for a petition for bankruptcy pursuant to section 97 of the Bahamas Bankruptcy Act.

The country's Supreme Court approved an application by lawyers for him to get bankruptcy protection under Bahamas insolvency legislation.
