Taoiseach Leo Varadkar’s €60,000 foreign travel and hotel bill for his first months in office included a five-star hotel stay in California and a photographer for his visit to meet Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau.
Varadkar has undertaken an extensive travel programme since taking office last June, including trade missions to Canada and the US west coast as well as trips to Brussels and Estonia for EU meetings.
