Independent TD and former Social Democrat leader Stephen Donnelly is joining Fianna Fáil, it has emerged.

Fianna Fáil sources confirmed this morning that Donnelly, a TD for Wicklow, had applied to join the party locally. The matter was discussed at a meeting of the parliamentary party in Leinster House.
