Society will benefit from same-sex marriage

Next Friday, voters will be asked if they consent to changing the Constitution of Ireland to provide for same-sex marriage.

If the referendum is passed, marriages will be permitted between two men and two women in accordance with a new marriage bill to be passed by the Oireachtas in the coming months.
