Slim lead for Varadkar in FG leader race

But voters see Coveney as the better Brexit negotiator

Leo Varadkar is narrowly ahead of Simon Coveney in the race to succeed Enda Kenny as Fine Gael leader, according to the latest Sunday Business Post/Red C poll.

Around 40 per cent of voters said that Varadkar would make the best Taoiseach, compared to 34 per cent who opted for Coveney.

Varadkar has a slight lead over Coveney among Fine Gael supporters, with 51 per cent of them supporting him versus 46 per cent for Coveney....
