Minister for Transport Shane Ross has warned that the pensions of Independent News and Media (INM) staff should not be cut amid reports of dividends being paid to its shareholders.

Ross, who holds INM shares and is a longstanding Sunday Independent columnist, has weighed in on the row over the media company’s plans to restructure its pension arrangements at a time when there has been speculation it will resume paying dividends to shareholders.
