The cost, price volatility and lack of cover for certain businesses have been identified as the three central issues for the competition watchdog’s review of the country’s public liability insurance market.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) launched a market study into the public liability insurance market in August on the request of business minister Heather Humphreys and through its initial work has identified the three “high level” areas.
