Odds on Fine Gael/Fianna Fail coalition slashed

Chances of Fine Gael and Labour lengthen

Bookmaker Paddy Power Betfair has cut the odds on a Fianna Fail/Fine Gael coalition government.

The odds on an historically unprecedented union have narrowed to 6/5, 45 per cent, from 11/8, 42 per cent, according to the bookmaker in an emailed statement to newswire Bloomberg.

Meanwhile, the odds on Fine Gael and Labour, the previous coalition partners, keeping power, have widened to 6/1, 14 per cent, from 9/2, 18 per cent, according to the bookie.
