But no one will have the numbers to be nominated as Taoiseach, so the contacts between parties and will continue over the coming weeks to seek to form a government.

So the main show will be the election of a Ceann Comhairle, the person who is in charge of keeping order in the Dáil and pushing for improvements in how it operates.
