Lowry disqualified as company director

Former Fine Gael minister and his firm fined €25,000

The former minister Michael Lowry and his company have been fined €25,000 having been convicted by a jury of tax offences.

The Independent TD for Tipperary has also been disqualified from acting as a company director for a period of three years.

Speaking to media outside court Lowry described the outcome as a “fantastic result”.
