Letter shows BT did not get chance to bid for Enet deal

BT Ireland told former communications minister Denis Naughten the company wanted to bid for a lucrative telecommunications contract that was renewed with Enet without tender.

The Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN) contracts, which were held by David McCourt’s Enet, were renewed by Naughten in March of 2017.

The networks are the cornerstones for high-speed internet for 94 cities and towns throughout the country.
