The Labour Party is in danger of losing some of its best-known and longest-serving TDs with the likes of Joe Costello, Willie Penrose and Emmet Stagg all battling to retain their seats, the tallies suggest.

Following initial tallies, Emmet Stagg looks to be in real danger of losing his seat in Kildare North after 20 years in the Dáil.
