Senior Fine Gael ministers now expect Enda Kenny to step down next month, triggering a leadership contest that will see a new Taoiseach installed by July.

Kenny said last Friday he will make his intentions “very clear” once the EU finalises its negotiating guidelines for Brexit with a meeting of the 27 member states this Saturday.
